Grant - Guildlines and Applications
To all HCSD Administrators & Educators:
The Harrison Educational Foundation is pleased to announce our grant cycle for the 2008/09 school year. As many of you know, the Foundation�s overall mission is to distribute funds for enrichment programs that enhance the curriculum offered in our schools. We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to obtain a grant that will benefit the students of our school district.
Grants request will be evaluated according to the completeness of the following criteria.
Does the request:
� Enhance the curriculum while promoting the vision of the Superintendent and the Board of Education
� Clearly state goals that relate to student learning and/or social well-being
� Identify how results will be measured
� Identify how many students will benefit from this project
� Provide long-term benefits to the students
� Address the possibility of implementation in other classrooms/schools in the district
� Fall into a category whereby funding should come from the District or other possible source
� Address publicity opportunities surrounding the grant
Innovative creative pilot programs are encouraged. Requests for teacher stipends/salaries will not be considered nor will proposals that would be deemed ordinary district budget expenses.
Completed applications along with any supporting documentation can either be:

� Send to the Foundation mailbox in the District central office, ATTENTION: HEF Grant Committee Chairman
All applications are due by April 30, 2008. Note that all applications must have the approval and signature of your building�s Principal. You will be informed of the Foundation�s decision by June 15, 2008.
